Academic Formation

Theology, Formation, and Leadership for the Church.

Logos University offers peer-accredited theological education across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels — designed not for academic achievement alone, but for faithful, Spirit-empowered ministry.

Planning Your Ministry

Ministry Preparation & Professional Requirements.

Logos University offers ministry-focused counseling education for church, ministry, and nonprofit settings. Logos does not offer licensure-track counseling programs. The Master of Arts in Christian Counseling does not meet educational requirements for state-licensed clinical practice or qualify graduates for any state mental-health licensure examination. Students are responsible for understanding the requirements for faith-based counseling in their own state or country; a degree does not establish clergy eligibility.

Chaplaincy certification, endorsement, and employment requirements are set by each agency or endorsing body. The D.Min. in Chaplaincy does not qualify graduates for professional chaplaincy certification or employment, or meet military, VA, hospital, or correctional chaplaincy requirements. Logos does not provide ACPE-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Independently completed CPE may be evaluated for elective academic credit; acceptance is not guaranteed. Review your intended agency’s requirements before choosing a program.

Our Approach

Education That
Forms, Not Just
Informs.

Most theological education is built around information transfer. Logos University is built around formation — the lifelong shaping of leaders who are grounded in Scripture, empowered by the Spirit, and embedded in the local church.

Biblical Foundation

Every course, every degree, every credential is anchored in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture. Formation at Logos begins and ends with the Word.

Spirit-Empowered

Academic rigor and Spirit-empowered conviction are not opposites. Logos University holds both — forming leaders who think deeply and move in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ministry-Integrated

Students learn in the context where ministry actually happens. Academic formation is not disconnected from the local church — it is shaped by it.

Mentorship-Based

Faculty are not simply instructors. They are pastors, practitioners, and formation guides who bring decades of real ministry into every course.

Mentorship & Formation

Formed by Those
Who Have Served.

Logos University faculty are not classroom theorists. They are pastors, missionaries, and ministry practitioners who bring decades of real-world ministry into every course. Formation at Logos is not just about what you know — it's about who you are becoming.

The mentorship model at Logos means students are not alone in their formation journey. Faculty walk with students through their theological development, their ministry challenges, and their spiritual growth — not just their coursework.

“We do not merely teach theology. We transmit a way of seeing God, Scripture, and ministry — and that requires more than a lecture.”

Dr. Dennis Shearer — President, Logos University
